Public Transportation

From O'Hare Airport by the "El":
On the lower level of O'Hare Airport, board the Blue Line/O'Hare-Congress train to downtown. At the Jackson Street stop, change trains to the Red Line/Howard-Dan Ryan. This involves going down the stairs from the platform, walking through the tunnel and back up onto the Red Line's Jackson stop. Look for the signs indicating "Northbound to Howard" and take the train to the Chicago/State stop. Use the northeast (NE) stairs to exit the station. Proceed two blocks east and one block north to campus.

From O'Hare Airport by Cab:
A cab from O'Hare Airport costs about $50.00 in normal traffic. Directions from O'Hare Airport are located on this sheet.

From Midway Airport by the "El":
Exit Midway Airport and proceed across the footbridge spanning Cicero Avenue to the Orange Line's Midway station. Take the Orange Line train into downtown. At the State & Lake stop, change trains to the subway Red Line/Howard-Dan Ryan. Exit the platform and walk south on State Street to the subway entrance, descend stairs and board train on the "Northbound to Howard" side of the platform and take the train to the Chicago/State stop. Use the northeast (NE) stairs to exit the station. Proceed two blocks east and one block north to campus.

From Midway Airport by Cab:
A cab from Midway airport costs about $35.00 in normal traffic.

From Union Station by CTA Bus:
Exit Union Station onto Canal Street and Jackson Boulevard. Take the 151 CTA bus eastbound into downtown. When the bus proceeds onto Michigan Avenue, keep watch for Chicago Avenue. Exit the bus at Chicago Avenue, cross Michigan and then Chicago. Our campus is located across the street from the Water Tower.

Parking at the Water Tower Campus

There is no parking provided by Loyola at the Water Tower Campus, however there are plenty of parking garages around the neighborhood. If you want to park on the street, expect to drive around for a while, as meters are often occupied.

From North Shore Suburbs:
Take Lake Shore Drive south to Michigan Avenue. Follow Michigan Avenue to Chicago Avenue, turn right (west) on Chicago Avenue, then right on Rush Street. Loyola's campus is centered at the next block, Rush and Pearson.

From I-94 and the North:
Take I-94 East into I-90/94 East and exit at Ohio Street. Go east on Ohio to State Street. Turn left (north) onto State Street and continue to Chicago Avenue. Turn right (east) on Chicago Avenue, then left on Rush Street. Loyola's campus is centered at the next block, Rush and Pearson.

From I-90, O'Hare Airport, and the Northwest:
Take I-90 East into I-90/94 East and exit at Ohio Street. Go east on Ohio to State Street. Turn left (north) onto State Street and continue to Pearson Street. Turn right onto Pearson to enter campus.

From I-88/I-290 and the West:
Take I-88 East (East-West Tollway) into I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway). Continue until I-290 ends at Congress Boulevard. Take Congress past Michigan Avenue for one stoplight. Turn left into the semicircle which will lead into Michigan Avenue going north. Follow Michigan Avenue to Chicago Avenue. Turn left (west) on Chicago Avenue, then right onto Rush Street.

From I-80, I-55, Midway Airport, and the Southwest:
From I-80 East, take I-55 North. If coming from Midway Airport exit and turn left (north) on Cicero Avenue to I-55 North. Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) to I-90/94 North and exit at Ohio Street. Go east on Ohio to State Street. Turn left (north) onto State Street and continue to Chicago Avenue. Turn right (east) on Chicago Avenue, then left on Rush Street. Loyola's campus is centered at the next block, Rush and Pearson.

From I-94 and the South and Southeast:
Take Lake Shore Drive north to Monroe Street and turn left. Follow Monroe Street to Michigan Avenue. Turn right onto Michigan Avenue to Chicago Avenue.

Take I-94 North into I-90/94 North (Dan Ryan Expressway) and exit at Ohio Street. Go east on Ohio to State Street. Turn left (north) onto State Street and continue to Pearson Street. Turn right onto Pearson Street to enter campus.

草莓社区's Water Tower Campus is located just one block west of the world famous Magnificent Mile along Michigan Avenue. This strip of stylish stores includes Chanel, Ralph Lauren, the Water Tower Place Shopping Center, which has eight floors of stores, including Macy's, Lacoste, and Lord and Taylor's.

As you go south, you pass hundreds of stores that will test your will power, including a giant Crate and Barrel, Nordstrom, Apple, Coach, Levi's, Neiman Marcus, Nike Town, Burberry, and Tiffany & Co.
